Types of Marketing Courses
Certificate IV:
A Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication is an entry level TAFE qualification that will introduce you to a wide range of marketing tools and concepts. You’ll acquire a broad understanding of the function and the role it plays in the success of all businesses. This course will expose you to advertising, customer service, marketing research, digital marketing and promotions.
Diploma:
The Diploma of Marketing is still a TAFE level qualification, however, explores topics in more depth when compared with a Certificate IV level qualification. Typically, a Diploma level marketing course will take between 1 to 2 years to complete, and in many cases you can use this qualification as a pathway towards a degree level course. By the end of the course, you will have sound knowledge in a range of areas such as creating advertisements, researching global trends, conducting audits, planning social media engagement, writing persuasive copy and much more!
Undergraduate:
The most common level of qualification, for Marketing professionals, is a Bachelor Degree. According to the Australian Governments’ Job Outlook initiative, 46.8% of Marketing Professionals hold this qualification. A Bachelor of Business (Marketing) is typically a 3-year course when studied full-time. This course focuses on all the key areas of marketing in great depth and provides graduates with well-rounded knowledge and expertise. Students will complete a range of core units and select many elective units to design their own program that suits their interests.
Postgraduate:
A postgraduate Marketing course is at a higher level than a Bachelor Degree and explores topics in greater detail as these courses are highly focused on a specific area. They are usually undertaken when an individual is currently working in their profession and would like to upskill, or when an individual has completed their Bachelor Degree and would like to improve their overall employability. Postgraduate courses include Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas and Master level qualifications.
