Why You Should Consider Xero – A List of its Advantages

Izabella Blazevic

Xero is used by large and small businesses alike to manage cash flow, and bank feeds along with several other processes necessary in maintaining company’s finance.

This piece of accounting software has a wide array of tools at your disposal for your business needs, not to mention several other perks that come with it. Down below are the top five benefits of Xero:

Well-Protected

Your financial data is in safe hands. Certified by the Payment Card Industry, there are many measures that are in place, such as two-step authentication when you log in and numerous checks for security threats provided by serves and data centres.

The data encryption is also an industry standard, so you know you’ll get your money’s worth. Since Xero uses cloud accounting, all of your data is saved in its online storage, meaning that if your computer is stolen or damaged, you can still access your information as long as you have the login details.

Also, the security measures, along with other features that keep your software running smoothly, are consistently and automatically, saving you time.

Collaborating with Others

You can now increase your efficiency in the workplace by efficiently collaborating with other members of your stuff Business owners can give access to bookkeepers, accountants and others in real-time, no matter where they are.

Since it’s all processed in the cloud, it’s not confined in a single computer, which allows others to also check out key documents, such as bank statements and purchase orders.

Not to mention you’ll also be keeping your information safe and secure in the one place as opposed to just sending the information back and forth via e-mail.

The Integration

Unlike many other accounting systems, Xero isn’t standalone. It can integrate smoothly with other systems, such as the PayPal (or other e-commerce in general), your stock, etc.

This means you don’t have to manually upload your information into separate systems. You can simply input the necessary data into Xero and let it do all the work, as was mentioned earlier.

Payroll provider software and cash-flow management are compatible with Xero, meaning that you can increase your efficiency as a business.

Working in Real-Time

Xero provides its customers with an auto-updated overview of their cash flow. They see exactly how their finances are doing since it is consistently updated.

With a simple click of a button, business owners can check the status of their bank accounts, bookkeeping and invoicing. You can even see whether or not your client has opened the invoice you’ve sent to them! No more excel spreadsheets where you input the data manually.

Ease of Use

As long as you have a stable internet connection, you can use Xero at any time. It is also compatible with various mobile devices, from iPhones and Androids, along with both PC and Mac. Backing up your important data is also simple to do; in fact, you don’t even have to do it manually.

It is completed automatically. In fact many of the features and processes can be made automatic; all you have to do is set it up to you liking. For example, you can schedule your invoices to be sent out at a particular time, all without the help of your bookkeeper or accountant.

That means they can spend their time doing something more worthwhile rather than bothering themselves with something menial as sending invoices.

Let’s not forget about the interface either! It’s also very straightforward and easy to use, with the dashboard providing an overview of all your financial information.

Even if you are confused on certain aspects, there is extensive customer support on hand for you to utilise, like community forums and an online chat available for you. However, for those who aren’t familiar with accounting, the interface is easy for you to navigate.

Another positive here is the fact that you don’t have to worry about installing any applications with Xero. It works as a monthly subscription service, where all you need is a username and password.

As you can see, there are many perks to Xero. However, if you’re still unsure as to whether this is the right software for you, Xero offers a thirty-day trial.
