Course Information
This nationally accredited AHC20422 Certificate II in Horticulture, delivered by industry experts, will provide you with the skills and knowledge to turn your passion for gardening into an exciting career. You’ll learn to specialise in a field of your choice (Nursery, Parks and Gardens, Landscaping) and gain the in-demand skills to make a lasting impact.

Online with Work Placement
The Certificate II in Horticulture will teach you:
- How to recognise plants
- Participate in workplace health and safety processes
- Assist with soil or growing media sampling and testing
- How to plant trees and shrubs
- Ways to treat weeds
- How to treat plant pests, diseases and disorders
- How to pot up plants
This course is perfect for organic, or home, gardeners and sole traders, including Handypersons, Landscapers and Gardeners who want to develop their horticulture knowledge and skills.
If you are an existing worker or have experience in the related industry, please inform our enrolment consultants during your enrolment conversation. You may be eligible to enrol as an existing worker and complete your studies faster. Please note – limitations do apply.

Eligibility
There are no formal education entry requirements for this course, however you will need to be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18 your enrolment form will need to be signed by a parent or guardian or require guardian/parental consent.
Please note: This course is not available to student visa holders.
