The Mastering Project Management short course provides the practicing project manager an invaluable step up, teaching them how to apply a flexible approach to project management alongside strong leadership and governance.

- Understand the importance of project management as a discipline applied by organisations to improve success in achieving strategic goals and objectives.
- Determine appropriate approaches and methods to deliver project outcomes and lead effectively throughout the project lifecycle in environments of change and uncertainty.
- Identify, engage and build relationships with stakeholders to improve project definition and develop buy-in to project implementation and outcomes.
- Establish and maintain a project governance structure to provide clarity for project decision making and increase accountability.
- Define, develop and manage project scope, time, cost and quality control processes and activities.
- Apply a risk management process to identify, analyse and implement controls to mitigate risk throughout a project.
- Determine performance monitoring and reporting approaches to manage all aspects of a project during the delivery phase and integrate continuous improvement into current and future projects
- Apply effective communication and leadership skills to develop and lead project teams.
- Manage complexities and address the challenges inherent in leading projects.
- Designed to complement AIM’s Project Management Fundamentals, this course will identify vital skills and proven strategies to develop and implement complex projects, while effectively managing project stakeholders and teams.
