Course overview
This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely perform dogging work. Dogging consists of the application of slinging techniques to move a load, including the selection and inspection of lifting gear and the directing of a plant operator in the movement of a load when the load is out of sight of the operator.
Following the successful completion of this unit, individuals may be eligible to sit an assessment to obtain a high-risk work licence. Successfully completing the high-risk work licence assessment will allow an individual to apply for a high-risk work licence through the WHS authority in their jurisdiction (E.g. WorkSafe QLD, SafeWork NSW, Work Safe VIC).
