Our nationally accredited CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) will fully equip you with the skills and knowledge to advance your career in building and construction. The Construction industry generates over $360 billion in revenue, producing around 9% of Australia’s Gross Domestic Product, and has a projected annual growth rate of 2.4% in the next five years. This industry is heavily regulated in many sectors and occupations, with regulations at every level of government.
The VET sector plays an important role in the licencing of many occupations in this sector, with regulators requiring completion of VET programs or subjects to grant licences.
There are currently 48,500 project builders and 38,200 builder’s labourers currently working in the construction industry. Construction Managers have a projected growth of 10.2% in the next 5 years.

Work Placement
While there is no mandatory workplacement, it is recommended that any students who are not currently employed at an appropriate workplace find a host organisation to undertake worksite visits.
Students will need to find a Workplace Mentor with an appropriate Host Organisation. An experienced and appropriately qualified Workplace Supervisor can act as a Workplace Mentor.
