Our Personal Trainer Program is a combined Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness course that is simply the very best way to become a fully qualified personal trainer. Almost all students choose to complete our specialised Combined Certificate III & IV in Fitness course. - Face-to-face practical – 13 sessions
- All theory and assessments completed online
- Anatomy – the human body, how it functions and what we can do to achieve the best possible results when training
- Exercise Physiology – energy systems, how they work and the impact they have on exercise programming
- Exercise Programming – how to develop exercise programs to achieve maximum results in the shortest possible time
- Nutrition – the basics of food and nourishment, how the body uses energy and what happens to food in the body as it breaks down. This is the base for our Cert IV in Advanced Nutrition.
- Fitness Assessment – fitness tests, monitoring client performance and progress
- Resistance Training – correct techniques for strength training and how these can be effectively communicated to your clients
- Goal Setting – the importance of goal setting and how to set effective and measurable goals
- Communication – how to effectively communicate with different types of clients and ultimately grow a successful PT business
- Advanced Resistance Training – advanced strength training techniques for gaining peak performance results; body weight exercises, resistance training without the use of weights, plyometric and power based exercises
- Advanced Cardiovascular Programming – how the body converts fat and carbohydrates into energy, how this impacts endurance events, weight loss, toning and size maintenance, the use of heart rate monitors and how these can be used to achieve results
- Outdoor & Small Group Training – considerations for conducting outdoor and group based training (such as boot camps)
- Special Populations – know and understand the most common types of lifestyle diseases and how to accommodate these in training programs
- Advanced Nutrition – qualified guest nutritionists provide expert information on food and nourishment and how these impact weight gain, weight loss and optimal body function
- Your Personal Training Business – how to begin and rapidly grow your PT business, generating and retaining clients, professional business systems that assist with operations
