Course Information

The AHC30722 Certificate III in Horticulture is designed to provide you with the tools to set you up for a vibrant career in horticulture. You’ll learn all about plant identification, pest and disease, weeds, propagation, soils and plant nutrition, and customer service. The Certificate III in Horticulture will teach you:

  • How to identify and select plants
  • How to contribute to workplace health and safety processes
  • Ways to apply environmentally sustainable work practices
  • How to implement soil improvements for garden and turf areas
  • Methods to transport and store chemicals
  • How to prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases
  • How to control weeds

If you’re currently working in, or hoping to start a career in, horticulture and have a particular interest in managing large open spaces including, parks, sporting fields, playgrounds and other public spaces, then the Certificate III in Horticulture is for you.

Eligibility

There are no formal education entry requirements for this course, however you will need to be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18 your enrolment form will need to be signed by a parent or guardian or require guardian/parental consent.
