Business analytics and visualisation utilises data to draw insights, helping inform a business’ decisions with improved accuracy and efficiency. In today’s era of customer-centricity, it’s vital that organisations use data to drive unique and valuable products and experiences for their customers and set themselves apart from the competition.
In 2023, LinkedIn cited Data Analysis and Analytical Skills among the top 10 most in-demand skills by companies. Throughout this course, you’ll develop the foundational practical skills to make data driven decisions and communicate these using Excel and Tableau.

By the end of this course you’ll be able to:
- Interpret a data visualisation based on specific criteria
- Assess and implement advanced excel and and tableau functions to create data visualisation
- Build a data visualisation storyboard in tableau to communicate business insights to stakeholders
As part of this course, you will complete one (1) final project where you’ll develop a slide deck presentation using templates, guidelines and business styles which address the following:
- Define the business question and need for data analysis
- Collect data from sources
- Clean through unnecessary data
- Begin analysing the data
- Interpret results and apply them
- Anticipate ethical and legal considerations for the business
- Justify of the approach taken to address the business question
